Pinnacle Services received three-year accreditation from CARF International

Pinnacle Services was awarded a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF). CARF is an independent nonprofit organization that focuses on quality services by providing the best possible outcomes. CARF’s standards are rigorous, thus proving Pinnacle Services is among the best available.

The staff at Pinnacle Services began working toward accreditation in January of 2004. The process included meetings and the development of new systems that improved the operations of the company. In September 2005 the CARF survey was scheduled and Pinnacle Services underwent a rigorous examination. The surveyors met with consumers, guardians, county officials, and staff members from Pinnacle Services. The surveyors reviewed business practices and examined policies, procedures, records, financials, insurance coverages and many other areas of the business. After three days, the management and administrative staff gathered, and the CARF surveyors presented Pinnacle Services’ conformance to the CARF standards.

During this process one veteran surveyor who has completed eighty surveys across the country commented that “Pinnacle Services was in the top five percent of any company he has seen across the nation.”

Pinnacle Services was awarded three-year accreditation, the highest type of recognition, five weeks after the surveyors from CARF completed their survey. Pinnacle Services received this accreditation in the following areas: Family Services (In-Home Family Support, Independent Living Skills), Community Housing (Supported Living Services), Community Employment Services (Supported Employment Services) and Supported Living Services (Semi-Independent Living Services). The goal of Pinnacle Services is to provide the highest quality services possible. With this accreditation, the company has made a significant step forward.

CARF’s mission is to promote quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. CARF reviews and grants accreditation services nationally and internationally. For more information, visit http://www.carf.org.
